Police Officer

Police Officer Pay:

  • 0-3 years ($41,454)
  • 3-8 years ($46,571)
  • 8+ years ($53,372)

Description: Performs general patrol and operational police duties, such as making arrests and enforcing criminal codes and statutes, assisting with investigations, and/or serving as a member of special teams or task forces as requested. Responsible for enforcement duties involving general and criminal regulations and institutional rules and regulations in order to provide for the protection, safety, and welfare of students, employees and property within the areas under the control and authorized jurisdiction of the agency. Serves as a Campus Security Authority as defined by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).

Supervisor, Communications Center

Description: Responsible for receiving emergency and administrative calls. Notifies Department of Public Safety and University Police (DPS/UP) personnel, other University and/or emergency services, and dispatches appropriate emergency responders. Plans, organizes, implements, oversees and supervises the work activities and training of the communications area for the Department of Public Safety.

Communications Officer

Description: Responsible for receiving emergency, non-emergency and administrative calls and notifying and/or dispatching appropriate emergency responders. Performs inquiries and searches of multiple local, state, and national databases to provide information to law enforcement personnel. Serves as a Campus Security Authority as defined by Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
